2 February - extra

Woke this morning to find that 6 inches / 15 cms of snow has fallen on us over night... currently -2c in the garden. This is the heaviest snow fall in London for over 20 years...
All the buses have been suspended across all of London, which is fair, I remember driving buses in the snow in the late 1980's, not nice... and the tubes and trains are suspended also... So not going anywhere for a while I guess...

Quite a lot of snow for you guys.
I left the UK in 1966, but I remember getting snow like this in the Midlands around '61-'62?
I love it when it looks like this, but it soon gets slushy and dirty, then it's not so good.
hugs

6 inches doesn't seem like a lot but I guess when a city is not used to that much snow it will paralyze things. It looks pretty though. It seems like we've had snow every week since Dec. Just a few inches here and there. We've not gotten our big one yet. We had 30 inches back in 1996, I think. It was the last really, really big storm we had. That'll slow things down a bit! We've had some 12-18 inch storms since. We usually get one like that every year or so.
