The Drebbel, a working reconstruction of the 1620 version, by Dutch inventor Cornelius Drebbel. Rebuilt here in Richmond, but is the first time that I have seen it up close and to touch. A fantastic sight in the middle of Saturday's Farmers Market...

15 March

We traveled last weekend to visit our son and see where he is currently working. It is as wet there, by the river, as it has been here. It is the same river, so means we have more water to see yet at our end of it.

Yes the last few days have been a bit of a wash out, but its not been unusually bad, just the norm for this part of world... The main thing is, only another 16 days till British Summer Time. I know the US is starting daylight saving early this year, but at least at this latitude we are seeing 12 hours of light now.
