The inside of the Pagoda is very plain as the stairs take up most of the central space, but you can see where holes were cut in WW2 to test bomb designs Posted by Picasa

thanks, its a great place, and so cool to be able to get into after so many years of being closed up. They are hoping to restore it to some of its original splender, replacing some of the lions that used to decorated it, there are storys that George IV sold them all to pay his gamberling debts and others that they were made of wood and just rotted away. But it will be good to see it restored to some extent, but its all going to cost... But the trip up was as good as the trip up the Empire State in NYC in a few years back...
